Jennifer Gille, 29, got picked up by a cab about 1 a.m. Sunday from a motel in Covington and was driven to Harrison Avenue south of the city, Covington Police spokesman Capt. Jack West said.
But when she arrived at the destination, Gille refused to get out of the cab and began behaving erratically, West said. The woman first took off her clothing, then demanded that the cabbie take her to Michigan, he said.
The driver tried to get Gille out of the vehicle and, when that proved impossible, drove to the Covington police station to get help, West said. While the cabbie ran inside to find an officer, Gille jumped into the front seat and drove off, he said.
A short time later, police found the cab parked about a block away with Gille, still naked, in the back seat, West said.
Officers had to force the woman out of the vehicle and pull her dress on for her, he said.
Officers tried to speak with Gille, but she refused to cooperate and appeared to be intoxicated, he said.
Gille, of St. Clair Shores, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail in Covington with unauthorized use of a movable and obscenity.
